Focused work over three weeks

Three-week product-to-market reset

I work with your team on one product, offer or market priority over three weeks.

Starting point

You may be deciding which application to prioritise, how to package an offer or why buyers understand the specifications but still do not enquire. I can spend three weeks working through that question with your team and making the changes we agree are worth doing.

I start with the customer evidence, technical constraints and decisions you already have. I research what is missing, compare the options with the people responsible and contribute directly to the work. At the end, your team has the completed material, the reasons behind our decisions and a plan for the next 90 days.

Suitable situations

  • You lead an established business, product line or department and have one decision or bottleneck to address over three weeks.
  • Your team can carry the work forward, but the product brief, offer or route to market needs another look and some practical work.
  • You can share existing material, involve the relevant people and appoint someone who can make the company’s business decisions.
  • You want to complete a defined assignment before considering a longer leadership role.

Areas to choose from

We choose one of these areas and agree an assignment that fits the time available.

Product and use case

Which user and application should this product be designed around?

I review users, customer evidence and technical constraints with your team, then help write or revise the product brief, requirements and priorities. We work through the important design and user-experience choices and decide what to test next. For a physical product, this can include installation, everyday use, connectivity and support.

Offer and business model

Should we sell the device, lease it or include it in a service?

I compare customer needs, competing offers and cost assumptions, then prepare a comparison of the models and pricing. With your team, I revise the offer and prepare a customer test. We assess buying outright, leasing and service models on their merits, including whether recurring payments make sense for the customer and the business.

Product explanation and buying journey

Do buyers understand how the product would help them and why they should choose it?

I review how buyers find, evaluate and enquire about the product. The work can include rewriting one key page or product explanation, improving one enquiry step and preparing one channel test. I use the technical capabilities, use case and evidence to explain what a buyer needs to know before taking the next step.

Working process

  1. Week 1: agree the question and review the evidence

I review the current situation and material with your team, identify missing evidence and agree the changes to work on. Up to three customer or team interviews, arranged by you, are included. We confirm the scope, the people needed and what can fit within 50 hours.

  2. Week 2: make the agreed changes

I research, analyse, write and work alongside your team on the assignment. We consider the relevant legal, policy, cost and financial implications before committing to implementation. If a decision needs specialist input, I help identify the right person and coordinate their involvement.

  3. Week 3: put the work into use and hand it over

I help put the agreed changes into use and review the completed work and open questions with your team. The 90-day plan records decisions and their reasons, responsibilities, costs, measures and maintenance needs. You have three business days to review the handover.

Completed work and handover

  • A decision on the selected question, with supporting evidence and reasoning.
  • Completed work within the agreed brief, such as a revised product brief, offer comparison or key product explanation.
  • A brief for the next test, including important assumptions and open questions.
  • A 90-day continuation plan covering responsibilities, costs, measures and maintenance.
  • A handover of completed material, remaining tasks and responsibilities so your team can continue.

Scope and working terms

  • €5,000 excluding VAT, paid before starting. Up to 50 hours across three weeks.
  • The fee covers one agreed area. We choose from the assignment examples rather than combine them into three projects. Up to three customer or team interviews, arranged by you, are included.
  • We agree the scope, goals, access, team and decision authority before starting. Your company’s decision-maker needs to be available for business decisions.
  • My research, analysis, writing and agreed practical contribution are included. Additional specialists, software, advertising and travel are separate.
  • We agree outputs that fit the time and resources available. A complete product, demo, website or set of channels would need its own scope and resources.
  • The handover-review window is three business days. Confidentiality, rights, conflicts and changes to scope are addressed in the agreement.

Questions before you decide

Do we need to know the exact assignment before speaking?

No. Tell me which decision you are facing, what material you have and what is getting in the way. In the 25-minute conversation, I can help identify the area to work on, who needs to be involved and whether three weeks is a suitable allocation.

Can this cover all three options?

The fee covers one area. Product, business model and buying journey are connected, so I consider relevant implications across them. We agree one priority and its practical output before starting; separate projects need separate scopes.

Will you do the work or only recommend it?

I contribute directly through research, analysis, writing, product reviews and agreed practical changes. Engineering, industrial design, development and other specialist work remain with the people responsible for them.

Is this only for technology or physical-product companies?

No. I am particularly interested in premium products, robotics, IoT and applied AI, but I also work on non-technical products and services. We still need to understand who the customer is, how the offer makes money and what the buyer needs to know.

What happens after the three weeks?

I hand over the completed work and a 90-day continuation plan with named responsibilities and maintenance needs. Your team can continue from there. If longer involvement would help, we can discuss it separately.

How are AI, legal and financial questions handled?

I may use AI to help compare evidence, research and draft material, and I check the sources, reasoning and final wording. I consider legal and financial implications as part of the work. Where formal advice or specialist sign-off is needed, we arrange it with the appropriate people. I cannot guarantee revenue or funding.
