Product, business and market leadership

Product and business work with your team

I work with executives of established companies on product decisions, offers and market entry. I can take on a focused assignment, lead an agreed area for a quarter or prepare a workshop before you commit people and budget.

Standalone engagements

The role you need me to take on

I prepare a workshop when you need to examine a question before deciding. In a three-week assignment, I work with your team on a priority and make agreed changes. In an interim role, I lead the agreed area for 90 days. You can choose any of these independently.

01 / Focused work over three weeks

Three-week product-to-market reset

For an established company with a product, offer or market question that needs focused work. I review one area, help make the agreed changes and prepare a 90-day continuation plan with your team.

Choosing an engagement

A workshop suits a question that needs research and discussion before you allocate budget. The three-week assignment gives me time to investigate a priority and contribute to changes. If you need someone to take responsibility for a function or overall business direction, we can discuss an interim role.

My contribution and your team’s role

I contribute to research, analysis, writing, product reviews and agreed practical work. I start from what your team knows and agree the brief, authority, access and people with you before starting. I hand over the decisions, completed material and responsibilities so the business can keep using the work.

Engineers, designers, developers and other specialists remain responsible for their own delivery. Their fees, software, advertising and travel are separate. I consider relevant legal and financial questions during the work and help arrange specialist review where needed.

Other ways to collaborate

Working together on a different brief

If you need help with something outside the engagements above, tell me about it. I also work on business development, marketing, funding, mentoring, events and teaching. We can discuss the role you need and agree the scope and way of working.

Developing a business, product or service

I have worked on new businesses, products and services, including the decisions and day-to-day work needed to get them into use. I can help you understand customers, shape the offer and business model, plan the product and route to market, and stay involved in delivery.

The businesses I’ve helped build

Marketing strategy and team leadership

At Springrise, I worked on positioning, customer research, content, websites and acquisition channels for more than 20 companies. I still take on this work. I can develop the strategy with your team, contribute to delivery or coordinate specialists as an interim CMO and team lead.

Investor relations and fundraising

I have raised equity through crowdfunding, found sponsors and worked on fundraising from angels and VCs. I can help prepare the funding plan and materials, explain the business to investors, build target lists and work on outreach, conversations and follow-up through to the end of the process. We agree decision responsibilities and specialist involvement before starting. I cannot guarantee funding.

Mentoring and ongoing advice

Since my time at Startup Wise Guys, I have mentored and advised through accelerators, incubators and universities, as well as working with businesses that contacted me directly. If you need someone to think through decisions with over time, we can agree how often to meet and which questions to focus on.

My experience and core competencies

Event planning, moderation and speaking

If I am interested in the event and its purpose, I can help with the concept, programme, partners, sponsors, team or delivery. I can also join as an MC, session moderator or speaker. Recently, I have mainly led panels on e-commerce innovation and applied AI.

The events I’ve helped build

Teaching and workshops

I have taught at universities and run workshops on entrepreneurship, marketing and advanced technologies since 2014. I am happy to discuss a guest session, a longer learning programme or a workshop shaped around the questions your audience wants to explore.

I also run workshops with collaborators, including Matis Metsala, on buying behaviour, sales, distribution and AI. We can cover discoverability, product information, agents in sales and procurement, risks and costs, using participant cases to prepare action plans.

Sander Gansen and Matis Metsala will host “Who does the machine buy from?” in late November 2026. More information is coming soon. Email Sander to express interest; tickets and confirmed places are not available yet.
