General questions

Who do you primarily work with?

I work mainly with executives of established companies. They may need help resolving a product or business question, someone to lead an area for a period, or a prepared workshop with their team. At OfferSignal, we focus on manufacturers, technical wholesalers and product-focused B2B/B2B2C businesses whose scattered commercial information slows down sales work.

How do I choose the engagement?

The Reset gives me three weeks to work on one agreed area. Interim leadership is for a responsibility that needs an owner for 90 days. A workshop suits a question you want to examine before deciding what to do. If the problem involves product information, discovery and recurring sales enquiries, we can discuss OfferSignal. I can also agree a different scope with you when these formats do not fit.

Can we work together outside the three primary formats?

Yes. I can help develop a business from its initial concept through to delivery, work on marketing strategy, or support investor relations and funding preparation through closing. I also take on advisory and mentoring work, events, MC and moderator roles, speaking, university teaching and workshops. My role, preparation and fee depend on the work you need.

Does a service without a published price mean free or unlimited work?

Work without a published price still needs an agreed scope and fee. For my individual engagements, I agree the responsibilities, outputs, timing and additional costs with you before starting. OfferSignal is quoted for its own scope. The published fees for the three primary formats apply to those formats only.

What can business design and marketing strategy cover?

I can help work through the customer need, offer and business model, then connect those decisions to delivery. In marketing strategy, I draw on my Springrise experience to work on positioning, channel choices and the practical work needed from the team. I agree with you whether the situation calls for advice, a defined assignment or a leadership role.

Can you help with investor relations and funding?

Yes. Within an agreed mandate, I can help prepare the business story and investor material, support investor conversations and coordinate work through closing. Investment decisions remain with the company and its authorised advisers, as does specialist legal or financial sign-off. Funding and a completed transaction cannot be guaranteed.

Do you offer mentoring, advisory work and teaching?

Yes. I have mentored since my involvement with Startup Wise Guys and have taught and led workshops since 2014. I can work with you individually, teach at a university or prepare a learning programme for a team. The audience and what they need to learn determine the format.

Can you join an event as an MC, moderator or speaker?

Yes. I take on MC, moderator and speaker roles, as well as other event work. E-commerce innovation and applied AI are among the subjects I discuss. I agree the audience, topic, preparation and fee with the organiser before confirming the role.

Is the workshop a sales funnel for a larger contract?

The Focused Business & AI Workshop is a standalone engagement. I prepare around your question, spend up to four hours with the team and provide written follow-up. The question can be about a business or product decision without involving AI, and no follow-on purchase is required. Collaborative programmes have their own agreed agenda and fee, and the announced public workshop has not yet opened ticketing.

What is agentic commerce?

It is a buying process in which software agents help a buyer find products, compare options or prepare an enquiry or order. Completing a transaction also requires the relevant access and authority. Reliable product information helps the buyer assess the offer; agreed permissions determine what the agent can do.

What are OfferSignal’s four stages?

We start by mapping commercial information and sales work with your team, then prepare a sales-focused digital roadmap. We establish reusable approved data with agreed ways to update and access it, including an MCP server. In stage three, we plan discovery and distribution and carry out the agreed initial technical SEO/GEO/AEO, content and data work. Stage four starts with a measured pilot for one selected enquiry route, followed by rollout if you choose to continue. Each stage has agreed outputs and a decision on the next step.

What useful result can we keep from each OfferSignal stage?

The mapping gives you a record of the sources, gaps and responsible people, with a digital roadmap for sales work. The data stage provides approved reusable information and its update and access mechanisms. Stage three provides a content and channel plan plus the agreed initial content, catalogue or data outputs and technical improvements. Stage four provides a tested workflow for the selected enquiry route; wider rollout and handover are scoped after the pilot. We agree acceptance criteria and usable outputs before each stage.

Do we have to commit to all four OfferSignal stages?

You can stop after any accepted stage and keep its agreed outputs. We review the result with you and confirm the scope and budget before starting the next stage. The pilot also has its own acceptance and rollout decision. Payment, termination and any refund are handled under the written agreement and applicable mandatory rights.

How are OfferSignal’s price, timing and acceptance agreed?

Our pricing approach is a fixed scope and fee for the initial mapping and roadmap, and for the selected pilot. Data preparation is priced by volume and complexity, while rollout is quoted as a project. Ongoing maintenance is agreed separately. We confirm the sources, connections, initial channel work and workflow before quoting each stage, with its outputs, acceptance criteria, responsibilities and timing. Hosting, model/API use and other service costs are identified separately. We have no universal OfferSignal price or duration.

What is the difference between a data map and a single source of truth?

The map shows where commercial information comes from, who can confirm it and what is missing. The next stage makes approved facts reusable, with agreed access and update rules. We continue using existing ERP, PIM, CRM and e-commerce systems where they support the work, connecting their approved data rather than replacing them. A single source of truth can therefore be an agreed way of using existing sources, rather than a new database.

Does an MCP server make all our information public?

We set access permissions for the agreed information and users. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol and lets tools or agents use defined interfaces; it does not grant publication rights. Public product information stays separate from private customer prices, correspondence and internal capacity information. We agree the working channel, approved providers and minimum necessary material before connecting sources. Any publication or change to records needs its own authority.

What work is included in OfferSignal’s third stage?

We carry out the agreed basic technical SEO/GEO/AEO work and prepare a prioritised content and channel plan. We also produce selected content and data outputs using the cleaned, approved information. Depending on the scope, these can include catalogue or product-page content, e-commerce product data and target keywords for the workflow we are building together. We agree the pages, channels and initial work in the quotation. Large-scale content production, link building and broader channel work are scoped and priced separately.

What do SEO, GEO and AEO change?

SEO helps search engines find and understand pages. GEO addresses how generative AI systems find and use information in their answers. AEO focuses on information that answer systems can use to respond to a question. We work on technical access and clear, consistent content backed by approved facts, with machine-readable information where useful. These changes do not guarantee rankings, recommendations or orders.

Is OfferSignal just SEO or a chatbot?

We make commercial information reusable: product codes and variants, specifications, price validity, availability and ordering rules, with named people who approve the facts. Your existing ERP and PIM remain in use; we connect their approved data rather than replace them. We then do the agreed initial discovery work, including technical SEO/GEO/AEO and selected content or catalogue outputs. A focused agent uses that information in one selected workflow, such as a buyer enquiry on a product page or an external purchasing enquiry. A chat interface may be part of that workflow.

What does the fourth stage’s controlled workflow do?

We pilot one selected route: an external purchasing enquiry, including one from a buying agent, or a buyer enquiry on your website or product page. The workflow uses approved facts to collect requirements, identify missing information and prepare a response for the right technical and commercial approvers. We test representative enquiries against the agreed quality criteria and baseline. After acceptance, you can keep the limited pilot output or agree a rollout, including the data-entry process, necessary connections and handover. Sending binding offers or making transactions requires explicit authority.

Are maintenance and further development included afterwards?

We agree ongoing maintenance separately after delivery, including its scope, service level, responsible people and fee. It can cover data quality, catalogue updates, connections and checks on the AI workflow. New connections or further development also need an agreed budget. Completing a pilot or rollout does not enrol you in an ongoing subscription.

What kinds of manufacturers fit?

We look for manufacturers and technical wholesalers with complex product ranges and recurring enquiries that take too much manual work. Product-focused B2B/B2B2C companies can also fit. To start, we need a real enquiry, representative source material, someone responsible for the business outcome and people who can approve the product, price and availability facts. Custom manufacturing needs its own assessment of technical rules and scope.

What do we need to provide for an OfferSignal pilot?

We need a representative product or service selection, the source files or systems, and examples of recurring enquiries. Include the relevant specifications, price validity, availability and ordering rules, and identify what may be public. We also need a business sponsor, fact approvers and an IT contact. We agree only the access needed for the selected route, along with confidentiality, usage rights, hosting and personal-data handling. Unresolved critical price, availability or access questions must be settled before the pilot starts.

Does AI decide technical feasibility or binding prices?

Your authorised engineering, quality and commercial people make those decisions. We define the approval steps in the workflow so an agent can prepare a draft using approved information and flag what still needs checking. Past work cannot confirm today’s capacity, availability or price. Sending an offer, placing an order or paying requires the agreed authorisation.

Are the research cases your customer results?

The external research cases describe results reported by their named publishers. I keep their attribution and distinguish reported savings, pilots and limitations. They are not my or OfferSignal’s customer results unless explicitly identified as such.

Why retain difficult historical stories?

I keep the original essays because failed assumptions, adoption problems and changes of direction were part of the work. They retain the dates and context in which I wrote them. An old plan or forecast should be read in that context rather than treated as a current offer.

How do I express interest in the late-November workshop?

Matis Metsala and I are planning “Who does the machine buy from?” / “Can the buyer—or their agent—find your offer?” for late November 2026. The exact date, venue and price are still to be confirmed. Use Email me below and I will respond about the event. Your email expresses interest only; it does not reserve a place, buy a ticket or create a contract. Newsletter signup is separate.

Can I buy a ticket for that workshop now?

Sander Gansen and Matis Metsala will host “Who does the machine buy from?” in late November 2026. More information is coming soon. Email Sander to express interest; tickets and confirmed places are not available yet. The late-November 2026 announcement currently invites direct-email interest only. Its exact date, venue and price are still to be confirmed. Confirmed ticketed events will provide their own registration link and cancellation terms.

How do I subscribe to the email list?

I have selected Sender.net, but automatic signup is not connected yet. The preliminary controls do not send or store your email address. Emailing me, including about a workshop, does not subscribe you. When signup is activated, it will explain what you are subscribing to, ask for consent and provide a way to withdraw.

Do I have to accept tracking to read or book?

You can reject optional analytics and marketing and still read the site or use the external booking links. Cookie settings in the footer let you change or withdraw your choices. The configured Google Tag Manager container only loads after both analytics and marketing permission. GA4 is managed inside it, not loaded separately.

What should I send before a first conversation?

Tell me about your company, the decision or recurring task you need help with, and who is responsible for it. A public offer or safe representative example is useful. Please keep passwords and confidential client data out of public contact channels. If I need more material, I will agree a suitable working channel, access and approved providers with you first.

Who contracts and invoices?

My personal engagements are contracted and invoiced through SAAG Consult OÜ, registry 14264613, VAT EE102178335. For OfferSignal, we name the contracting party in the written proposal and agreement before work starts. The scope and commercial terms are agreed before any paid engagement; booking a meeting or expressing workshop interest does not create one.

Three-week product-to-market reset

Do we need to know the exact assignment before speaking?

No. Tell me which decision you are facing, what material you have and what is getting in the way. In the 25-minute conversation, I can help identify the area to work on, who needs to be involved and whether three weeks is a suitable allocation.

Can this cover all three options?

The fee covers one area. Product, business model and buying journey are connected, so I consider relevant implications across them. We agree one priority and its practical output before starting; separate projects need separate scopes.

Will you do the work or only recommend it?

I contribute directly through research, analysis, writing, product reviews and agreed practical changes. Engineering, industrial design, development and other specialist work remain with the people responsible for them.

Is this only for technology or physical-product companies?

No. I am particularly interested in premium products, robotics, IoT and applied AI, but I also work on non-technical products and services. We still need to understand who the customer is, how the offer makes money and what the buyer needs to know.

What happens after the three weeks?

I hand over the completed work and a 90-day continuation plan with named responsibilities and maintenance needs. Your team can continue from there. If longer involvement would help, we can discuss it separately.

How are AI, legal and financial questions handled?

I may use AI to help compare evidence, research and draft material, and I check the sources, reasoning and final wording. I consider legal and financial implications as part of the work. Where formal advice or specialist sign-off is needed, we arrange it with the appropriate people. I cannot guarantee revenue or funding.

90-day interim product and business leadership

Read the full service
Can the mandate include overall executive leadership?

Yes. I can lead a product or function, or take responsibility for overall business direction and the executive team. We need to agree the authority, people and resources before starting. The 24-hour weekly allocation stays the same, so the breadth of the role needs to fit it.

Is this advisory support or an operating role?

It is an operating role with responsibility for the agreed remit. I research, write, analyse, lead reviews, coordinate people and contribute directly to the work. We define the role around the responsibility your company needs someone to take on.

Can one mandate cover product, marketing and business decisions?

Yes, if they belong to one coherent business or executive role. We agree the breadth, priorities and team support within the stated allocation. It cannot provide the capacity of three independent full-time leaders.

What does the company need to provide?

Someone available for decisions reserved to the company, access to relevant information and people, and the agreed team and resources. Before starting, we confirm which decisions I can make and where specialists need to be involved.

What should we expect at the end of 90 days?

You receive the completed work, decisions and their reasons, clear responsibilities and a next-quarter plan. Depending on the mandate, this may include product priorities, launch material and market evidence, or a business plan and operating priorities. A complete product built by me alone or a guaranteed commercial result is outside this commitment.

Can we extend the engagement or change the time commitment?

Yes, by agreement. We can discuss another interim period or a lighter role. Work needing more than 24 hours a week or different coverage requires a separate arrangement; the listed fee covers the stated allocation.

Focused business and AI workshop

Read the full service
Does the question have to be about AI?

No. I can prepare a workshop on a new application, business model or product decision. I may use AI to support research and preparation where it helps, with source checks and review.

Can we use it to assess a proposal we already have?

Yes. Share the proposal, its reasoning, relevant evidence and constraints. I start from what your team already knows and prepare the session around the decision you need to make.

Will we leave with a working AI demo?

No. I prepare and run the session, then provide written follow-up with a recommendation and an outline test brief where appropriate. Building a demo or implementing a workflow needs a separate scope.

What should we send before the workshop?

Send the question and material relevant to it. That might include customer and competitor evidence, a product proposal, sample technical documents, or product information and buying steps. I also need your team’s technical constraints to assess the options.

Can you guarantee that AI tools will recommend our products?

No. I can assess product facts, explanations and buying steps with your team and identify improvements to test. Recommendations and placement in external language models are outside our control.

How is this different from a collaborative workshop?

This workshop costs €2,000 excluding VAT and focuses on one company question, with preparation, a defined time allocation and written follow-up. Collaborative workshops, including those with Matis Metsala, have a separately agreed agenda for a team or participant group.

Collaborative workshops

Read the full service
Who is Matis Metsala, and what does he contribute?

Matis is an entrepreneur, sales and marketing leader, adviser and trainer who has worked with manufacturers and retailers. His roles include the Delfi launch team, Deal24 sales and marketing, Estonia country manager at Httpool Baltics and Baltic sales director at Adform. In our joint workshops, he focuses on customer needs and cost-efficient sales and distribution channels.

Is every workshop delivered with Matis?

No. I agree the collaborators and their involvement for each audience and agenda. The joint format described here combines my product, business and applied-AI experience with Matis’s sales, marketing and distribution experience.

Do participants work on their own companies?

Yes. In the example format, trainers demonstrate information and discoverability checks, and participants apply the instructions to their own offers. We choose three to four cases from advance information for shared discussion. This allows us to examine those cases in more detail, although we cannot give every business a full individual review.

Is the subject only relevant to online shops?

No. We cover manufacturers, retailers and service providers, B2B and consumer buying, product ordering, service enquiries and bookings. We examine the information customers or their buying assistants need and the actions they should be able to take.

Will the workshop implement the changes?

Implementation is separate. During the workshop, participants carry out guided checks, assess risks and costs, and decide on next actions. We help distinguish work they can do themselves from tasks for a web partner or developer.

How do we agree a workshop and its price?

Tell me about the audience, business questions and format in a 25-minute conversation. I can then propose a programme and confirm collaborators and working arrangements. The fee is quoted for that programme, separately from the one-question workshop.

Optional choices start off. Rejecting does not block the website, writing or booking links.
